Got this TV for free today, off Craigslist, by someone who stated it needed a new "plasma bulb" (LOL)
Got it home and plugged it in and it works alright with a few quirks.
Mainly, pixels are slow to change from black to other colors (red and green mainly, they seem to change to white decently quickly)
I don't know the technical term or anything, so here is an amazing commissioned piece of artwork to describe the problem!

The image to the left represents a black circle on the screen. The second image is what is supposed to be an all white screen, but some of the pixels remain black, as do some in the third screen, until finally a second or two later, the whole screen is white as in the third picture.
ONLY black pixels have this "Residual" or "ghosting" effect. Never had the problem with any other pixels.
Other than that there is a problem that when turning on, it takes a while for all the pixels to... start? Here is a video I took of that problem.

Now on the subject of repair, I'm handy with a soldering iron and have other things, but never a TV. I dont have a DMM but can nab one for a couple bucks at Harbor Frieght or something, though I might need a hand in knowing which cap to test, etc.
I'm happy to spend upwards of a hundred bucks on the set since it's in damn near perfect condition from the outside and the only problem is the black pixels slow refresh rate!
