  • Re: Samsung HP-R5052 problems

Tried replacing X-MAIN and still having problem. Something strange I noticed is that there are two unused power-ports, circled in PINK attached image. Not sure if they are supposed to be connected to something, I can't find a definitive answer... While TV was open I looked at all caps, none looks bulged and all fuses looked intact. Tried to take a picture or two but they were blurry because of bad lighting ...

At this price ($16 shipped) I am happy to jump on this today if you think there is even a 50% chance this would fix the problem. I've already got some credit in paypal from another transaction so this is a no-brainer to me if you think it will likely fix!!

Also one more thing to add, I noticed today that if on an all-white screen, there is a faint pinkish/reddish line that runs straight...

  • Samsung HP-R5052 problems

Got this TV for free today, off Craigslist, by someone who stated it needed a new "plasma bulb" (LOL)

Got it home and plugged it in and it works alright with a few quirks.

Mainly, pixels are slow to change from black to other colors (red and green mainly, they seem to change to white decently quickly)

I don't know the technical term or anything, so here is an amazing commissioned piece of artwork to describe the problem!

The image to the left represents a black circle...
