Samsung UE46D7000 Vertical Lines / Discolouration

    Hi all,

After some advice / guidance with this one, if possible.

Bought the set used around 2-3 months ago and display was fine. Over the past fortnight I have noticed some vertical areas of discolouration appearing near to the left hand side of the screen, and seems to be slowly spreading towards the middle.

I initially just resized the image on the screen to be slightly smaller (as it was pretty much on just at the edge) but the problem seems to be spreading towards the centre of the panel.

The lines / areas do not appear to be 'dead' (unlike a lot of the other vertical lines I have seen that are a solid red/blue/green etc) and actually show the correct image, just with some discolouration.

The intensity of the discolouration seems to vary based on the content the screen is showing and it is almost looks as if the signal is being pushed up or distorted by a few pixels.

I have tried a replacement TCON board which has (predictably) made no difference. I suspect it is a Tab/Screen issue as it only seems to affect the 3" in from the left of the screen which would be the responsibility of a single tab..

Is there anything else I can check for, or could this be some sort of power issue on one particular tab?

I have tried applying pressure to the tab join/bond under that area, and even cleaning, which has made no difference.

I have attached some images showing the fault.

    Thanks in advance,

Colorful LCD Vertical Lines on Samsung ue55es8090
    by Falki
Hello there, ive recently found an older 55inch Samsung SmartTV.
Sadly it has vertical lines at the left and one line in the middle-right.

I have already tested out the connections and have looked at the soldered ribbons of the LCD panel to see if some contacts got loose by pushing them a bit but with no success.
I have factory resetted the TV as well but also with no luck.

I am afraid that it is indeed a LCD Panel issue but there are NO scratches or any impact-marks..

A similar issue has been posted as well but also with no actual response ...

    Screen Display Vertical Multicolor Lines
    by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

    Samsung UN46C8000XFXZA vertical bars/horizontal lines
    by x_orange90_x
I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
    by polaro
    Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...
