If I understand correctly, when I jumper a power supply in a LCD TV and the backlight comes on this would mean a problem with the main board eliminating the power supply and inverter right?

Of course, that only proves the backlight section of power board. There could be a low rail or missing signal like AC DETECT causing the main board to malfunction.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
