Picked up a 42" Samsung with no power.
After replacing the faulty caps and a couple of resistors the tv came back to life.
However, it keeps turning off and on.
The longer it's on the faster and more frequent this happens.
So I assumed it was over heating. So started freeze spraying the caps to find out what one was causing this.
Eventually found the spot that was causing this but it turned out to be a resistor.
As long as the resistor is cold the tv stays on.
Assuming the resistor was bad I ordered a new one (without checking if it was actually bad) swapped it over and it still clicks on and off!
Now the real problem, I lent my multimeter to my dad assuming that i had located the problem and didn't need it.
I have loads of parts lying around that can be used to fix this problem but looking for advice on what one to take out first!

RS817 is the resistor that need frozen for the tv to work.
The board is BN96-03743A
Any advice will be much appreciated.
