    Proscan 40LC45S Ghosting bad color

An odd problem with a Proscan 40LC45S. Turned it on cold this morning and picture was just great and left it go for about 45 minutes and no problems. To double check I turned the set off for about 3-4 minutes and now color is way off and there is ghosting. See this video:

Not sure what to even check with this one.
I have it off now and put in a cold place to see if that will "reset" it somehow.

Looks like a panel driving fault. I'd check the t-con board voltages: AVDD (15~17V), VONE (~20-30V), VOFFE (-5~8V)
However, if it's intermittent, you might be looking at a panel fault.

I can not see anything marked with that. Forgive my ignorance but where to I tap in to check those voltages? here is a TCON board pic.

On yours, I see VON_P, VON, VOFF, and AVDD test points. Little gold pads, white silkscreen next to them.

You use your meter, red probe on point, black probe on chassis, report the voltage reading.

Wow do you have some good eyes! took me a while and a magnifying glass but here is what I got VON P=22.68V VON=18.53V AVDD=15.11V

Check VOFF too, if you could.
So far, those are all good, so I suspect the panel.

Voff should be negative, is it?

                          Tcon is working. Probably panel.

Hmmm, so a mainboard problem would never cause that either right?

Yes, that is my opinion, if you were to try to fix it you could try a tab bond shim, but no guarantees at all if that will work.

Took apart down to tabs and pushing or touching and moving on the tabs made no difference what so ever to the picture.

Well looks like one for scrap. I got a TCON board just to give it a shot and same thing so I will need to scrap this one out.

I have one of these TVs and it began making a sizzling sound from the back side on the right side, when viewed from the front. Yesterday, Mar 9, 2015, it stopped working with no picture and no sound, except for a popping sound. It will not turn on, status light middle bottom red, and I cannot turn it on using the side power button. I took the back cover off and no obvious problem. I need to test voltages on the PS board. Are any service manuals available? Thanks.
