Plasma no picture, everything else o.k.

rca 42pa30rq- tv is responsive to remote and has sound. no extra clicking when powering on and off. Can go from input to input but complete black screen.Should I just order x and y boards? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Well--You can, but likely you'll be wasting money!

Some proper fault-finding will avoid that.

So, There's sound but no picture?

A picture of the sets internals, with close-ups of each major board to determine what chassis/make PDP is fitted to that set, and the way forward for you....

Cannot advise further without that info....
