Working on several Samsung panels that all have the same problem. The problem is inside the panel and is similar to the power problem that causes the white screen such as on this magnavox panel. Almost certainly it is one of the voltages that feeds the tft's because all the signals check out between a good one and a bad one except for a signal that comes out of the board that may be called stvp or hgt. The diagram shows the good and the bad panel and the signal voltages and the feedback signal in question is the fourth from the right.

Here are some other panels that I have worked on that have a similar problem but also have tabs along the side to bypass the inner wiring that has opened.

Because of the frequency of which these are failing it seems that someone would know about this. Also perhaps there is an alternate pin that whatever missing voltage might enter similar to what was done in the magnavox's above.
