Yep, seen it before... panel gone... possibly something on that t-con bonded at top/bottom of panel - someone on here was fiddling with it and was able to freeze and it worked briefly, but panel died shortly afterwards.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the same tv. My issue is no picture. The backlights are working. I can see them shining through the holes on the back panel. I have sound, the led indicator light works. The tv makes the usual samsung jingle when turn on and turn off. I took the back off and looked for bulging caps or burned marks, but there are no signs of damaged parts. I have not checked any voltages from the power supply yet, but I intend too when I get time. I located the PS, backlight inverter, and main board, but I did not see the T CON board? There is a ribbon cable running to the base of the tv, so I assume its located there, but not sure how to access it. Any help advice is welcome. Thanks

Please post some clear pictures of the back of the set with the cover off and the area where the ribbon cable runs.

I believe the T CON is built into the panel on this model. I would first check fuses on the panel boards. so you really should get some power supply readings before going any further

Also upload good clear pictures around that LVDS connector on the main board, and also the straight shot picture of the whole main board, to see if it has any SMD fuse around that area since part of the T-CON circuit may also be on the main board.
