    50" Insignia issue.

I have a 50" Insignia Plasma tv. Model# NS-50P650A11Last night it was making clicking noises (the clicking noise it makes when you first turn it on) while it was off. I thought it was odd as it's never done this before but I brushed it off. A little while later I turned it on and it came on as normal. I watched tv for a couple hours then turned it off.
Fast forward to today I go to turn it on and it won't do anything at all. No clicking noise - nothing. I pulled the back panel off to see if I could visibly see any capacitors that were bad or burnt and everything looks fine.I may have jumped the gun here, but I ordered a refurbished power board and I'm hoping that fixes it. Thoughts?? I know basically nothing about tv's or electronics in general. TV is only about a year and a half old.

These models have a common issue, at least the sister Samsung model do, caused by blown input fuses. They were apparently undersized. Replacing them with slightly higher rated ones fixes the problem in most instances.

Is the input fuse the one on the power board that looks like an automobile tube fuse? About 1/4" in diameter and about 1" long?

Picture of this please? The fuses are 5x20mm or 6.3x32mm usually.

I mean it doesn't LOOK blown but I was just asking if it was the fuse you were referring to in your first post.

Those don't usually visibly blow. You need to check it on a meter.

Bought a new fuse. Nothing, so that isn't the problem.
Hopefully it's the power board. I'll find out when it comes in in a few days.

So what do you guys think? Think replacing the power board will fix it?

Replacing the power board fixed it for anyone wondering.

                          Glad to hear it.
Did I leave the soldering iron on?
