Sounds like a firmware fault or other main board fault. It's not turning PWM DIM on for some reason, many possibilities.

That would be a good first point, do you have any sound? 12V either end of t-con fuse

yes I got 12v each side of the t-con fuse. Not sure how to check sound as im not sure what channel its on. I tried a dvd thou the scart to see if it auto tune but I couldn't here anything.

Sounds like main board-- only thing you really can do is check voltage regulators.

3 Mbit isn't fast enough unless you want to wait a few days. I must be spoilt with 76 Mbit here, at the same price as the 2 Mbit parents get :P.

a good little test,is to hook up to another tv via scart lead,if the pic is good on that,it confirms the mainboard is working,thats if psu checks good mind you.

Had to return the tv unrepaired as the woman asked me a question on facebook and as I didn't reply strait away she phoned the police and said I stole it. Some mothers do ave em lol.

I have one of these sets, which has failed, I have checked the power supply, all voltages are present all capacitors have been checked with LCR meter and are good, when in standby led is on when you press on button the red led pulsates and goes out this coincides with all voltages appearing on power supply pins 24v to inverter board is present 16v 12v & 5v all present feeding main board.. I have checked the inverter transformers with ring tester all OK also checked mosfets all good. I get peeps when pressing any side buttons, but no backlight or sound or picture even with a torch, would it be a fair chance that the main board could be at fault.
