Samsung Plasma PN43D450 no response click, X-main

Have a PN43D450 Samsung plasma. Once plugged in it'll attempt to turn on but the relay clicks on and off twice.

The X-main is connected to the Y-main and Y-main is connected to the PSU.

Unplugging only the X-main (LJ92-01796A) (disconnected from the y-main.) The TV makes the chime with no picture. Unplugging the Y-main, the TV still makes the chime with no picture. So I'm guessing its a defective X-main board. Looking around ebay, there are some repair kits for some smd FETS and an IC underneath the X-main.

Does anyone know which FETs and IC is usually replaced on this LJ92-01796A X-main? It does note i should update firmware after repairs to prevent future failures so ill keep that in mind as well.

your trouble sounds like mine...but i think the y main is the culprit in my case. look at the pics in my thread samsung pn50c490b3dxza power issue and see if its wired the same.

Harvested some parts from the same model cracked screen panel, replaced the x-main board and the tv is working again!

Does anyone know how to update the firmware? I saw a thread with a youtube link but cant find it now.

Nice. Yeah, it's best to replace the whole board in these newer Samsungs.

Edit: Is this your firmware? Instructions are included: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/ow...PN43D450A2DXZA

I am having a similar problem with the turning off and clicking.

I opened it up and the capacitors don't look bad and when I unplug the power from the x main is makes the chimes but no picture, and when I unplug the power from the y main I also get a chime but no picture.

The capacitors look ok, no serious bulging or oozing, but could they be slightly bulged? Should I be able to feel it noticeably with my finger? I am at a loss.

As a follow up, i've come to the conclusion that it most likely is the X Main, as process of elimination and seeing what still works with what plugged in has helped.
