    Lg 60pz750 ua

    purchased: 03/2012

last two weeks it began showing a pink haze. whites are "sprinklie" and face shadows have a greenish tint.

i have read the forum about checking different things the best i could. i removed the back and placed a mirror in front and proceeded to walk thru the "picture wizard". when i came to the "white" or contrast(?) i could not get the square to look like the one in the sample.

so, i brought up the menu (since it has the most white in it) and if i slowly adjusted the Vs screw, i could get a nice picture, but after about 2 seconds it would go back to being full of pink "sprinklies".

since the adjustment does not hold, is that telling me that the board itself is no good? i don't mind replacing it, since the cost would be better than a new tv, but, i just don't want to replace boards if i don't have to.

i checked all fuses and they are good. and, i shouldn't have to mention, but i am a novice when it comes to stuff like this, but, i'm not afraid to tackle it.

    any advice is appreciated!

One important thing to do when adjusting Vs is to use an insulated plastic screwdriver; a metal screwdriver can cause odd capacitive effects.

ok...again, tried to adjust, it seems to be erratic...when i think it looks OK...it just goes back to being hazy again.

i noticed there is a smaller board in the center, to the bottom right of the power board. it has a flashing green light. it flashes two long then two short.

      is this normal?

when the tv is first turned on...it's fine, then after a few seconds it begins the haze. and, the longer it's on, the worse it gets.

i really hate to throw this thing in the trash, cost me alot of money and it's only 1.5 years old.

Good day, I'm extremely new at this, so please excuse if posting where I'm not supposed...haven't figured out how to start a new thread.
I have a LG 60PZ750 which was purchased in September of 2012.
About a month ago, the TV started to shut off on its own, no warnings at all just started to shut off, sometimes would remain on for a minute others would turn on and off right away.
I had the TV checked and according to the tech, it was the power supply, he took it with him, repaired and still the problem was persistent, he then said it was another board which was stated to be the Y board.
That was also exchanged (he brought another one) but still the same issue, this time however the TV remained on when first turned on for about 5 minutes, then it went off again with the same issue occurring.
He stated that the plasma was was the culprit and that it was no good.... just want a 2nd opinion prior to losing $$$ for 2 years of usage on this TV....
It was a floor moded, but still the life of this plasma is way longer than the approx 5000 hours it has on it.
Any help, assistance or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
