Samsung LE32R82BX intermittent no picture

Simon picked this up a few days ago with no picture but backlight, touched fuses on t-con with solder and it came back to life, figured a cracked solder pad or such. Tried it for 15 minutes but it died pretty quick, so figure the fuses (two "P" type, 3A, in paralell) are worn out, possibly intermittent. Will replace them and see how it goes.

It has a Samsung panel.

Incidentally we cannot get Freeview / IDTV on this TV as is does appear to be a Russian variant, does anyone know if that can be enabled without a board swap?

What is Freeview/IDTV? Is it just Digital telvision free to air ?

Yes integrated digital TV. The option is greyed out in the service menu.

So are you guys still predominately analog? Most of ours are shutdown now. I think 2007 was the year most TV came with inbuilt digital tuners here.

No we're full digital TV. Except in a few islands in Scotland I believe. This TV only has analog TV listed, but I'm hoping there's a way to enable the digital TV feature. Problem is, this TV came from Russia with love, and does not have Freeview/DTV enabled but I believe it does have the hardware to support it... just a matter of enabling that.

Sounds like a challenge, wish I could help. I think Samsung maybe one of the few where you can set the TV up for other parts of the globe in the service menu I saw on a 2010 plasma but obviously not that simple as you would have worked that one out.

I just downloaded a service manual in Russian and it has 2 distinctly different main boards READY and IDTV with the tuner module larger for the IDTV board.

Yeah I'm guessing I have the READY variant as the tuner is quite a bit smaller. Ah well, no biggie. The TV does have a nice array of features otherwise.

Can any one help !!
I have a Samsung LE40R87BD
It has no picture sound is ok.
I have it connected to a sky box with scart lead I can change channels on the sky box and can hear the sound from all channels but no picture.
I have upgraded all the bad caps in the power supply to 25v when changed set would not come on so carried out the eprom reset procedure and got the set to power up.
The back lights are working as screen lights up and you can see the back lights in the rear of the TV but no picture displayed.
I have replaced the Tcon board but still no picture ?
Also when TV is on for a while it starts to trip on/off after approx. 5 mins
Any help would be much appreciated.

Good Morning.
I have a lcd bord le32s62 bn41-00811b
Has video but does not change the channel, already changed the eprom 24c32 IC501 for a clean channel and went to number1 and does nothing more nor sound changes.
