general panasonic plasma setting question

hey guys what I have is a panasonic plasma and while watching movies on hdmi or any input for that matter my TV I had set up in my bedroom was a TH-46PZ80U and durung black scenes like before commercials when does screen goes black it actually act like it turned off the panel I never got inside to figure out why it did that but I kinda liked it it actually made it pitch black but with the other Panasonics I have when the screen goes black before commercial the screen is still definitely lit . Is there a setting that makes the screen go completely black before like this TV did. I hope I explained it right

Turn it from Dynamic/Vivid, a horrible mode IMO, to Cinema/Natural if you want that feature disabled.

Oh lol I didnt know it was that easy. Vivid looks washed out on any panasonic plasma anyway. Im using game mode now.

Game mode turns off a lot of processing to improve response time, but at the penalty of picture quality.
