Thanks to this forum I managed to fix this tv and thought I would share some info.
This Tv would turn on for the 2 second to black syndrome which I have read
on here several times. It would turn on the light would go on and I could see
the screen say something like digital tv and then go black.
After opening it up I found most everything was fine then I noticed a fine crack in a blue disc capacitor on the inverter part going to the light
I replaced 15pf 6kv cap and now it works fine. I am including a borrowed pic from this forum and highlighted the caps in green the red circles are from a previous thread. I included the pic as a reminder not to skip the disc caps in diagnosing a problem because normally I assume that they are fine
