LG 55lh55-ua weird problem tempermental video distortion

55lh55-ua.AUSVLJR manufactured 2009. very distorted picture when first turning on (picture 2) I have tried taking it apart and tapping on all of the tabs going from the driver to the panel nothing changes. If i disconnect one flex cable coming out of the tcon i get image 3. is i sit there and wiggle that flex cable around a little bit and caress it real nice i get picture 4 which will stay for a few minutes before picture 5 happens. any one have any opinions? is this idicative of a bad tcon board or do i have a bad panel on my hands? possilbe capacitor. it seems so strange that i get such a reaction from moving the flex cable around in its socket. the socket has to be unhooked other wise the picture is stable as a rock so im thinking not a bad cable or socket. Caps look pristine.

You can try cleaning the ribbon cables and connectors with electronic contact cleaner. It seems likely to me that you will need a new t-con.

Question: If you leave the right-hand cable disconnected for a period of time (e.g. 5 mins), does the picture onscreen continue to look like picture 3?
