I started to checkout this TV after a month of house guests. the original problem according to owner was the picture flickers then goes out, but sound is present. I set it up today with a vcr as the input device.
Turned TV on and had the sound effects, and got a picture from the vcr tape. didn't drop out, flicker or anything negative. after three hours I decided to attach it to my DIRECT TV box as a really good test.
That worked and I've been watching the TV for 4 hours now and not a flicker or drop out. picture is sharp and clear.
For $50 I guess I got lucky with this one .....so far. I'll continue to use it for a few days before moving it to my bedroom.
