    Lg,42lc7d-ub

Hello to you all .new to the site, but i think its a great one, if there was a rating 1 to 10,give it a 10. Have read a ton of these looking for similar problems with a LG 42LC7D-UB,Board #EAY34797001,found a few that were close, but no cigar. Finely took the back off, and found 5 obvious dreaded "BAD CAPS". No pic. no sound, green flashing longer than it should. cycle it on-off, a few times, and bingo would B good. One of those times heard a pop, like a small firework, but each time would take longer. So now i know i at least need these 5 caps witch are,a 35v-1500uf. and four 10v-2200uf. Looked at the master list on this site and the 35v-1500uf is not there. anyone got any info on that.

You can probably find that cap on digikey.com or mouser.com if you can't find it here. A lot of people here recommend Panasonic FM or FC series caps for power supplies. Make sure you match the dimensions and lead spacing if space is an issue.

I have a thinkpad p1 gen 3 20th-ct01ww. Recently I've had 2 that after windows updates, it no longer detects the battery

I have a question regarding one of these lenovo laptops. I have a thinkpad p1 gen 3 20th-ct01ww. Recently I've had 2 that after windows updates, it no longer detects the battery. I have tried rolling back the bios update and that didnt fix it. Is this something that requires modifying the original bios to fix or is it bios related at all ? Is this issue common. thanks.

Asus Tuf Dash F15 (FX516PC Rev 4.0) IC chip no longer able to be read
      by aprilmixtape
I recently ordered a CH341a to try and fix my 2021 Tuf Dash F15 after seeing a video about Asus laptops being diagnosed as having fried mobos when they have corrupted bios. After following the steps from a YouTube video and flashing the IC chip (W25R128JVSQ; detected as a W25Q128BV on AsProgrammer) the laptop booted up for the first time in 2 years. I looked around my room for the M.2 drive I had removed from it and as soon as I came back the laptop had turned off. I assumed it automatically turned off due to inactivity but when I pressed the power button, the backlight and power button would...

I can no longer access the bios as an admin
      by Gamerfreak_LP
      Hello first,
I have a problem. I can no longer log into my bios as an administrator. I had created a user account in the bios so that I can start the PC normally and an admin account to manage the bios. Without admin access it is not possible to change the boot sequence or the like. This was actually intended as security in case the laptop was stolen or I lost it so that nobody could access the data. I had saved the password on a YubiKey 5c. This normally just entered the password bluntly when I pressed the button.
But now the mainboard tells me that this password is wrong.

I have the laptop in the title and have had it for about 5 years. Was mine and shared it with my kids for about 2 years, then a year of just the kids and last year just my son. He plays on it about 8 hours a day. We regularly make sure to clean out the blower and heatsinks.

About a year ago the screen started to act up. Sometimes coming on, sometimes not. Sometimes "bowing" the screen would get it going. About 8 months ago bottom side of the...
