Samsung PN50A460S4DXZA, VERSION#SQ11
Have Samsung TV with with good picture, good sound, and approximately 2 inch wide vertical black line about 2/3rds way from left. Is this a buffer board or should I suspect the cable connections first? Any and all advice is appreciated.

Check the cable connection below or closest to the black bar, but most likely is the panel, there will be a i.c. on the ribbon cable between the panel and the board that may be bad and is part of the ribbon/panel -

It is most likely to be a bad plasma panel, not repairable, we've seen a run on these Samsungs here recently dying with the same fault.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
