Philips PFP 5532d/05 Picture issues

After returning from 2 weeks on holiday my dads philips tv has a badly distorted image.





(sorry for the quality, iphone is all I had to hand.)

The picture is like watching through a lace curtain. Initially the black area that is in the top left of the images is over about 90% of the screen, but after its been on a while its as it is in the picture : Big patch in the top left but a little bit all around the edges of the screen.

The image and sound are still there but behind the distortion.

Any help would be appreciated as I dont want to have to get that thing off the wall

99% bad X-main / Z-sustain board, common fault... you're gonna have to get it off the wall though unless you want to perform keyhole surgery.
