Do you have a backlight or not? You haven't mentioned if you do.

If experience has anything to do with it Tom you can assume it doesn't. LED driver always goes bad on these PSU's for some reason.

Obviously wait for their reply but I know what my bets are on

There is no backlight Tom, that's why I said black - I'd have mentioned if it was glowing as I know the difference.

I have now done a fair few of these and only once has a PSU replacement not remedied the problem.

            Hi.

How did you repair that one?
I had the same exact issue, replaced the PSU but the problem remains.
TV on, 2 seconds later, black screen.

Its possible the problem is somewhere else?

If you already replaced it you can be pretty sure its the LED's

If you can get the LED strips

It is not an easy thing to do though, There is the chance of damaging the panel while attempting it.

                        Hello,

i have the same problem with my TV LG 42LE4500.
The TV powers ON ( with switch or remote), Red light animation during several seconds and after white light.
When i use the remote, white light flashes.

Black screen and no sound during all of this

Re: LG 42LE4500 lines on screen

I have Lg 42Le4500 for about 4yrs and in recent weeks it started to show some lines on the left side of the screen, in start they were appearing intermittently on one side of the screen but now they are of a constant feature on the left of the screen. Saw few youtube post but of no help.

Can someone advise what is the issue and it it could be fixed. can post photos if that would help.

                            Many thanks

I have replaced the LED driver with some TL4115 Constant Current Source at 12Volts.
Modified the led strips. 4 LED's series with other series in parallel. The results ?

This is modification. The TV was saved and at 12Volts i have at 104 LED's onli 388mA consumption. The drivers arecold as iceand no problem's at all.
The TV is working very well. Also the LEDS are protected . Are staying cool because of current limitaition on jonction

                                          Hi,
I'm new & this is my first post..
After reading a while in a few related threads, I hope to learn some real good knowledge from you guys.

I've got a LG 42LE4500-TA, been using for more than 5years.
Weeks ago it just suddenly "die off", become no display.
(i think i heard a small "pop" sound when it went Black screen)

When i try to Turn it ON, the LG Logo appears,
as usual, follow by the red-LED running fine,
but, when it next turn into the White LED indicator, the screen just black-out.

I'm trying to seek some advice if it is worthwhile to try repairing it.

I'm trying to attach a video(in zip-file). Hope it can be viewed easily.

thanks alot for any kind advice!
