The guy told me that he took his tv to get diagnosed because it wasn't displaying anything on the screen or the Vizio logo below the screen. The tv guy told him is was a bad main board. Now I am no expert, but if the main board was bad, wouldn't the Vizio logo still light up? The symptoms, to me, sound like a bad power supply. Granted I am no expert.

I had an e420vl that did the exact same thing. I sent the main board out to have a new EEPROM. It fixed it. The power supply is turned on by the main. You can force the power supply on with a resistor to confirm.Last edited by johnboy1313; 06-05-2013, 05:51 PM.

by totofHello.
I'm sharing with those in the know a problem I'm having with my Samsung UE55JS9000T TV, which has a backlight fault with halos of light on the sides (see my photos). This is a model with LED strip backlighting on the sides.
I took the TV apart to remove the panel and noticed that the "yellowish" film on the Plexiglas light diffusion plate was stuck to the LEDs. When I peeled it off, it left marks on the Plexiglas plate, which I cleaned as best I could with rubbing alcohol (see photo).
The result isn't perfect, but it still seems pretty good to me.

by SparklingxEveryone is buying the wrong CH341A programmer, I have learned from my mistake. Don't buy the Black one or Green one.
Buy this one in the photo. Most stable and all your common problems (reading but not writing/erasing, software hanging, disconnects after attaching chip, test cable connected but chip not found/ device disconnected) will be gone.
Otherwise you'll have to solder capacitor from GND to VCC if you have those symptoms in your black or green miniprogrammer.... - Loading...
