Samsung LN55C630 - HDMIs do not work

So far this forum has been super helpful, thanks to everyone that pitches in for that. I've been working on a Sayno power supply that I've gotten a ton of help with on here.

I was given an LN55C630K1FXZA that wouldn't power up. Was at a home that suffered a bad nearby lightning strike and subsequent power surge. There was a dead fuse on the TV and when that was replaced it came back on no problem. It was then suffering a strobe light flickering issue when it warmed up, but thanks to this forum I found that it's a common issue that just needs a jumper cut for it to go away, and now the final issue...

HDMI inputs do not produce any video or sound. Only the "No/weak signal" message. Component inputs work beautifully. I can say the TV knows when something is plugged into an HDMI port because it will show up on the source list. Even when I move the device from HDMI1 to 2, 3, or 4 it'll move in the list, but never produces video or sound.

Would the main board be suspect in this case? or something else? Again component works great, but HDMI does not. I have not tested the VGA input yet. I can post pictures of boards and such tonight if necessary.
    Best Regards,

    Dave (aka Deebeaux)

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

Will do tonight. Left my phone at home that had the pictures I took in it. Thank you.

More than anything, yes, the main board.
It probably would be good to do a factory reset and see if that does anything.

maybe even a firmware update if there is one(usually there are two files that has to be updated).

Sometimes when lightning strikes nearby ground the surge will go thru the cable box (cable is grounded) and then thru the HDMI to damage the main board. Same with modems damaging the network card in a computer whether cable or DSL.

Good suggestion on the factory reset.

Also check to make sure the source is setup correctly to output audio/video out the HDMI port. Using a known good HDMI cable, source, etc will also help.

Tried factory reset already, no go.

I'll give this a go. Hopefully tonight I'll have time to fool with it. Any better to use USB for firmware update vs. just connecting it to a network and checking for updates?

I've had this happen many times as an IT tech. Seems totally feasible. I also have a Westinghouse on my wall in my office that has dead HDMIs, but everything else works. Happened right after a power surge/outage. Not sure how effective coaxial surge protectors are, but maybe I need a few. Hah.

Thanks. Definitely checked to ensure it was setup right, tried two cables and verified they both worked on my other TV and cable box.

Still working on getting those pictures, I took several with my phone but they're not on there now so I'll pop the back off and do it again tonight.

                Thanks for all the help!
