LG 60PK540 2 1/2" black horizontal bar... should I buy it :D

Seen a LG 60PK540 for $100 somewhere that has a 2 1/2" black horizontal bar going across it on the bottom half of the screen...I'm tempted to get it thinking it might be just a buffer board problem. I know in the pas I have seen the entire bottom or top half go... but not just a bar like this. The boards were about $20

what do you think worth biting on? see attached pic

It is most likely a buffer board problem. A bad FFC, or panel, would lead to a single line horizontally, not a bar. $100 ain't bad, that's about £60 in the Queen's money.

May be worth taking a chance.
