    LG 26 LK330 Colored horizontal lines

    can you beleive it 1 year and 3 weeks old.Colored horizontal lines.

    This TV has had a sympton from cold start. turn on TV logo screen would show up and no tv signal with red light blinking.turn it off and would do the same.I would have to turn it on and off a few times before the tv would show picture then would okay till next cold start the next morning.This symptom has been going on for a month then all of the sudden i turn it on and colored horizontal bars.No sound,cannot change inputs, and when i unplug tv the red standby light stays lit for 30 seconds then goes out.


    Where should i be looking?I don't know wher to start.Any help or advice would be real nice at this point.

          i have a DMM,smt station,soldering iron

              First advice would be to check the power supply outputs. P201 is the connector of interest, and it is labelled. If the voltages are good, I would be looking at the t-con or main board. The t-con on this model is integrated onto the panel, so would not be replaceable: we can hope it is just the main board.

              P.S. many manufacturers will work with customers if the warranty has "just" expired, so I'd recommend you call them anyway. A lot of them will offer good-faith repairs to attempt to keep you brand-loyal.

                  Thanks for the advice.Lg gave me a 200 dollar cheque for the problems and they said it was not repairable.

                  The customer service is terrible.It took me 4 four times calling and they kept giving me a run around and the last time i called customer service hung up on me.I got through to one of their supervisors told them what happened sent in the photos like the one above.

                  And i got a new TV and a cheque for 200.00.

                      I am also a beginner , but I already had that problem with lg panels see the picture above , hope you will success .

                          All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
                          • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
                          • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

                          I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
                          I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

                          never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.

                          Hi, I have a Sony XBR-65X750D that has horizontal lines at the bottom 6 inches of the screen. These lines appear to be every other line because the picture is still quite visible behind those lines. The lines appear all the time with a few other lines above and below the 6 inch level blinking on and off at about 2 second intervals. I'm not sure if this is a panel issue or power supply/main board problem. I did replace the T-Con board without any change in the problem. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly appreciated.                           5.5 year old 85 inch Sony Bravia X950G started showing gray horizontal lines across the bottom of the screen and the picture shifts slightly vertically when it happens.
