    Magnavox 42mf230a/37

it just stopped working last week...

    no picture no sound

led is red, push power button on remote or tv and led turns blue... have to unplug to turn off

checked the y-sus and buffers for short both passed as non-short

found a bulging cap on the y-sus and replaced it (no change)

    started checking voltages today...

    1. Check PowerSTB5V(U516 3PIN)
    Voltage: 5V (shows 4.95v)

    2. Check the REL-SW state of power IO
    interface,
    High Voltage:Turn on
    Low Voltage:Standby
Test Point: C pole of Q5
    High Voltage:5V(4.2---5.3V)
    Low Voltage:0V

I get 0 volts, so i am not coming out of standby

what should i check next, this is my first plasma project...

    thanks,
    chris

I also have a 42inch Magnavox plasma I picked up for twenty dollars. It looks brand new inside and out but no power.I replaced the power board and another smaller power board but it just does nothing like it isn't even plugged in. There is power to the inlet, I know. All fuses check okay. but no power, no indicator light, nothing, Can anyone help?

Is the model of your TV the same? Regardless, it would be best to create a new thread.

LG 60PV450 Possible Bad YSUS Need help confirming Diagnosis
                by PlasMatt
I have an LG plasma that after reading through a bunch of posts and doing some testing I believe has a bad YSUS board. The problem is that that doesn't make sense to me for some of the symptoms. The problem started yesterday. While watching a movie the TV just shut down like I pressed power. I have it hooked to a PC and use RS232 to turn it off and on so I thought maybe something had glitched there. I turned it back on and finished the movie with no problems. The same thing happened today so I checked logs to see if something in the control glitched and sent an off command but it didn't, After...

Hi is any one can help me on getting the Schematics for Magnavox MDR515H/F7 And Magnavox MDR537H/F7 PDF file thank you I really appreciate it. Just need to change some component on

Is there any high current pouch battery that are size 60mmX80mm maximum thickness 21mm for a battery operated tab welder
                by sam_sam_sam
I have a battery operated tab welder and the battery does not have enough current for the battery tab welder because after about 30 welded it does not have the same current output it voltage has gone down by at least 0.500 volts or maybe a more than that

I can fit 21700 battery cells in the enclosure it is very tight fit for four of them that are 35 amp high current capacity 35X4=140 high current output this should work a lot better than what is installed right now

I tested the battery cells there are installed right now and they are testing good with no issues that I...

Extreme High Current & Low Voltage Short Killer ??
                by DynaxSC
                Hi Folks

I'm looking for a extreme high current short killer solution for a reasonable cost.

I have an LGA1700 motherboard (ASUS PRIME Z790-P WiFi) where I exchanged the LGA socket already 3 times, and every time after the socket exchange I get a short of power supply lines VCORE (V variable) and VCCIN_AUX (1.8V).
After taking off the socket, the shorts dissappear again.
The soldermask on the socket is already partially demaged from the heat, so I have reconstructed the soldermask by manually painting the missing soldermask parts with a very small top of a...
