Indeed, and being in Leeds only makes it stranger!

I can't help that, I don't have a tripod.
I already upgraded the camera so it can do 720p and motion reduction was enabled.

I'm seriously going to start a tripod fund. Anyone who wants to complain can put a quid towards it. PM me…

I know. I don't make money from the videos. I do them as a little help to anyone with a troublesome TV or to get insight into how to debug a TV.
I'm about to upload one about a bad cap on a DVD player (and not bulging either!) but if all people want to do is complain, should I bother?

I've always thought constructive criticism was a good thing. It helps us improve.
I've copped heaps over the years and I'm grateful for it. If everyone tells you "fantastic job" are you going to try and improve the quality of the presentation or will you think 'great, everything's perfect?' Not hating here, just saying.
EDIT: what I said was tongue in cheek and not meant to be taking seriously.
I realise, but it's something I can't presently improve.

I decided to test the X-Main first. Looking at the layout of this chassis I realised it's possible for the Y-Main to kill the X-Main when it fails. So I tested it, and found shorts on the main FETs. Looks like one board took out the other.

With the X-main installed the TV is now fixed! Applied firmware 100024 (I think) from 100019, which hopefully will address the issue with the X-main failure rate on this set.
