Viore PDP42V18HA has Red Pixel Static?

I trash picked a Viore PDP42V18HA the other day, and brought it home to test it. Everything works perfectly, no power up/down issues, all inputs work perfectly.

Defect is that when playing video from any input, IE: coax, composite, component, hdmi, etc. there is a red pixel static that appears on the display, intermittenly.

I'm a newby, engineering tech student, and would love and appreciate some advice in trouble shooting and diagnosing the problem to make a repair if possible. Any ideas?

    Thanks,

This is easily fixed on older LG-based plasma panels (like this one.) It is a common defect and most commonly occurs with green though I've seen it with red on this forum.

First you need to post some pictures of the insides of your TV as it requires a few adjustments to be made on the Y-sustain and power supply boards.
Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
For service manual, schematic, boardview (board view), datasheet, cad - use our search.

      Thanks Tom66!

Awesome! No problem, I'll keep it to the forum. Thanks for all advice so far. I'll post pictures as soon as possible, so that hopefully someone might walk me through the next phase.

hello to everyone. I too trash picked one of these tvs. found the y sus board needed repaired. just received the repaired board and im now getting the green pixel static. I found this thread but there's no resolution or pics posted for the fix. would you have time to discuss a possible fix for this? ive read its an easy fix on several threads but no exact explanation on what needs adjusted. many thanks in advance.
