    Samsung LN-26A450C1D panel transfer success

I have this Samsung LN-26A450C1D with broken panel for awhile, the original panel is CHI MEI_V260B1-L04 which uses 5VDC for the T-CON, the panel I got from another brand of TV is CHI MEI_V260B1-L03 which uses 12VDC for the T-CON. The inverter control is also not the same as the SAMSUNG. I download the panel spec of the panels to see what they are.
I look at the Samsung connector for the T-CON, the Dimming control is not the same as the replacement, but looking at the Samsung main board, it has two connectors for the inverter interface for both type of the inverter boards, so no problem controlling the new inverter board.
The problem is now is that the pin outs and the voltage of the T-CON are not the same and I am not about to do another hacking job plus getting the switched 12V to supply the power to the new T-CON board and rewire the board.
I look real close at the both T-CON's, the connectors and the ribbon cable between the T-CON and the panel is the same, so I decide to use the old T-CON with the new panel since I really do not have anything to lose for this 26" TV that I have sitting in the garage for over six months.
Install the substitute panel and the inverter with old T-CON board, fire it up and it works! save another TV from the dump.

      Nice job Bud.
I have a Samsung LN-T375HA and Acer Aspire 5601 laptop which would need a hack job like that.

I don't understand why, but this Samsung TV did not have a Samsung panel...
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

It's marginally cheaper to buy in different manufacturer's panels.

Very common with Samsung -- even their 46" were using Chi Mei or AUO at some point. And 37"/40" with CHUNGWHA, very poor panel (from ex-CRT manufacturer.)

It's getting better now, they've started going back to using Samsung exclusively.
