    Insignia NS-LCD42 Washed out image

Originally upon opening up there was some bulged caps on the p/s which I replaced but found the 24v rail on the P/S was only 20V so I replaced the power supply and to my dismay the screen and that voltage was the same.

The backlight works very well and screen settings are good.

And here are some regulator/transistor info (as my face melts by the megmeet power supply lol)

    Ok update:
After I wrote that post, it would not turn off so I unplugged it.
Now when I plug it in the backlight flashes on then shuts off and I cannot get the tv to turn on and there is no standby light. I do have 5v stby though.

Is my main board crapping out?

      Here are some pics.

That solder jump on the back of the main board looks pretty sketchy lol

Hey, look just like my TV! I replaced bad caps on the power supply, then found out later i also has bad main board, all the voltages check OK on my regulators also. I got a replacement board from Jimmy, put the new board in, it turns out it was for Polaroid with exact same model number as Insignia (same company must be making TV for Polaroid and Insignia), the bootup screen shows Polaroid so I had to get Polaroid remote to work with new board. Picture quality is so so.

Ok, then I'll order one and that's pretty funny lol. Does your power supply though do 20v or close to 24v .... that slightly bothers me.
