I have this TV it is a 23" LED backlite Coby. when I turn it on I press the button and the on led gets brighter then I hear the tv try to start and then it shuts off. I have checked the capacitors and they test good. I have noticed under the power board there is a 8 pin chip that looks like it is missing a large portion of it. I wanted to see if anyone has a service manual to this tv so I can see what part it needs.

That's definitely a problem. Looks like a switching controller, if you can find it only a few bucks to replace. Can you get a picture of the area of the power supply it's in?

I replaced the chip and the tv still does the same thing. the power led is a dim blue then I press the power button and it goes to a bright blue. then I hear the tv try to start and a faint pop sound and then blue light goes out. the power supply on this tv is very compact and has alot of smd parts. I have looked on ebay to see if someone has a power supply for sale. I think this might just be a item for the dump.Comment

you have to remove the screws and then pop off the bezel and gently lift the panel out but be careful to unplug t-con and led driver board firstComment

Hey Guys, I know this is a old post, but I just acquired and coby 1526 LED TV that does the exact same thing. Dim blue standby light that gets brighter when you press the power button, the screen doesn't seem to do anything but after a couple of seconds there is a pop from the speakers and the blue light dims again. I don't want to put too much into it but if its a cheap fix I wouldn't mind another tv.
I visually do not see any damaged parts on the power board or the main board. I have read a couple of forums where the capacitors are very cheap and word when replaced but none of them look bulging or leaking.
Each of the boards on ebay run about 15-20 bucks but I don't want to buy both and its a back light problem, so if anyone has any advice as to where to go from here to eliminate whether is a power issue, mainboard, or screen issue I would appreciate it very much.Comment

buenas dias amigo del foro. me llego al taller un tv coby de 15 pulgada, modelo LEDTV 1526 que no se mantine prendido por que le quitaron o accidentalmente se le volaron dos condensadores smd y una resistencia en la mainboard en area de encendido, por casualidad al del foro tendra el diagrama o tiene conocimiento de capacitancia son los condensadores y el valor de la resistencia.
