    32" toshiba tuner

Can anyone tell me where i can find a replacement tuner? I have this tv that the threaded part of the tuner has been twisted off. The numbers on the stickers that are on the tuner come up on google as the whole board. Any suggestions.

I could but i do not have the threaded part that twisted off so there is no hope of repairing this one. I got this tv this way and i can watch anything through the inputs except no cable/antenna tv.

I used to fixed a lot of VCR with broken F connector, if the board is not cracked then you open the shield and solder the wire to the new connector. I use this F connector: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in..._content=Exact
You solder the nut to the body of the tuner then you screw in the connector and then solder the wire from the PCB to the connector terminal, you may have to trim the terminal down a bit if it is too long, then you loctite the tread down. You have nothing to lose by trying.

Badly crack or just a couple of traces are broken.

I did the same thing on my toshiba, i found my replacement part on ebay, i noticed that toshiba seems to update the part numbers for later tuners but should still fit the set, i bought the same p/n as my old tuner, just don't want crt shock. heres a pic of my part if that helps.

You may be able to re-wrap the coil using a small rod to wrap it on, it looks fixable, I fixed them with worst condition than this. You will have to remove the tuner off the board if that small broken piece has traces on it that you need to jump them on the main tuner board. It is already broken, what do you have to lose?
