      Pictures perhaps?

Sounds like a bad diode or a bad filter capacitor.

Sounds more like a shorted sustain board. Transformers rarely go bad...

Note loud buzzing from a plasma panel is sometimes indicative of a cracked/damaged panel.

Hm, the first one has cracked base a bit, and if the core is cracked that can make it buzz too.

I think you will have to buy a new psu.

The core could only really crack if the TV were dropped or impacted in some way so I'd be careful with spending too much on it because there could be more damage.

That must have happened, b/c the transformer isn't even attached to the board anymore!

I took it out.when i tested it i would only get readings fron one side. When the tv was plugged in and tutned on this one would buzz then click off. Andyour right i dont want to put alot in this thats why im just looking to replace just this one. Since i havent found it yet i wonder if there is a replacement or work around. Its a pet project but would be nice to make it run.

You could get a broken power supply board of the same model, and hope the transformer isn't bad. Next time be careful when taking them out!

Either the transformer was shorted inside, or there is a shorted rectifier diode on the secondary.
