i managed to get inv on/off wire pulled out of connector at psu.
plugged it in and backlight came on so i hit power on and nothing happeed.
led stayed solid red backlight stayed on.
no click, no vid, no sound, nothing

You have major problem with the main board, not just the INV ON/OFF logic.

well i guess my only option is to try and find a good board for sale. i already posted a wanted in parts.

i replaced the main board and now when i power up i get 5 long blinks. otherwise everything seems to work alright. i have pic and sound. im not sure what that code is.

No code. Just normal Samsung start up. No Samsung I know of has -any- blink codes.
