    Humax LGB32TPVR Sandby/Power Up

Hi all,a fairly long description follows so sorry if i bore anyone.

Got a power supply in for repair from a Humax LGB32TPVR LCD TV, the PSU is made by KN-Powertek & carries the numbers PW402k-32 & KNP-3300.

When i first got the PSU in i could see that all the voltages were taking a while to steady up & knowing that this PSU is famed for having cap problems i changed those parts. Now the PSU springs nicely into life (on the bench) & the voltages are there, steady & exactly as they should be under load.

Problem i have is this, normally PSU's i repair have a Standby pin & an On/Off or simiilar marked pin (as on the Samsungs). To switch a power supply on you normally have to connect the 5VS to the On/OFF switch (as with the Samsungs for example). On this however , with NO connection between these 2 pins, the relay immediately pulls in & the voltages all come up & the only way to switch them off is to ground the On/Off pin which drops out the relay. Now, as i dont have the rest of the set, just the PSU & i cant find a circuit diagram anywhere it could be i'm chasing a non - existant fault & that this is the way it should work. Connecting the 5VS to the On/Off does nothing, relay stays pulled in & the voltage on the On/Off pin is floating around 3v which makes me think that this is the way the thing works & that the standby voltage is connected to another board which has the standby LED & causes the On/Off pin to be grounded when switch off is required.

Anyone worked on this chassis or know where i can get the PSU cirsuit diagram or the Service Manual, usual locations have drawn blank.

    Thanks in advance.

Help making a switch work the opposite way with a relay
    by SluggerB
I have a very small float switch, I'm using in a very small tank. It only fits in one way. Link https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Switch.../dp/B07DZ1J2GB

I want the switch to be open when the water is high, and closed when the water is low. Unfortunately it works the opposite. And since this switch is designed to be underwater, it's all sealed up, there is no taking it apart or hacking it up.

It will be driving a water pump, basic idea, when the water is low, switch closes, which turns on water pump, when enough water is in the tank, float switch floats,...

    Micro Momentary Push Switch?
    by Natob82
Great to be here! I'm a newbie here trying to find a "micro", momentary push switch to repair a Sony "clamshell" video walkman. This micro switch has long since discontinued by Sony, however I hope there are third-party switches of the same size and functionality that I might be able to source to play the same role. The purpose of this switch is to tell the video walkman that the user has activated the mechanical tape eject button, turning that physical action into an electronic signal that tells the tape transport mechanism to open so one can load or eject a video tape. I...

NEC TurboExpress On/Off Power Switch Replacement Help
    by grimacelord
    Hello,

I've been working on a NEC TurboExpress and I accidentally got the plastic inside the power ON/OFF switch too hot while doing other repairs and melted it. At first, it would still power on when sliding the switch, but you had to really press inward while sliding to get it to work.

I removed the switch component and tried to gently melt the plastic back so it would work more reliably and all I managed to do was make it worse.

I need to find a replacement On/OFF switch for this, but having some trouble figuring out which kind of switch I need....

Burco BCPLSAFWM5L 5 Litre Wall Mounted Automatic Water Boiler With Filtration UK 240v

Does anybody have any experience with these Burco units at all there is no record of them on the forum lol and a proper service manual would be nice. I invite you all to pesuade me not to botch repair it with a 5v relay, read on.

This unit was rescued from a skip 3 years ago, the only fault it had then was no backight display (plus it wanted a new probe set and top seal) but the screen was never an issue you can still see the screen as is and I just use it to get 5 Litres of very hot...
