2. Conforming to the rules of punctuation and capitalization make posts much more readable.
3. The service manual is available at Elecktotanya.
4. I suggest you register. It's free, I didn't get spammed when I did, and they don't limit downloads for registered users. This is especially helpful in this case, because they also have the Training Manual for this TV. VERY, very, useful.
5. Pictures would be a big help.

Hello, How is it coming with your set? Do you have the back off and is there any heat coming off any of the heatsinks when turned on? I am working on the same unit but with a differant problem. I have received allot of pointers from many but hope to get more info from reading around this site.Comment

by Ted29946I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing it right So....I picked up a LG 50PG20-ua Plasma TV (Someone's throwaway pickup) First power up no picture or sound
Found power board to be bad and I repaired it. (Bad caps) Now all power volt readings are good. Still no picture or sound. I plugged in power cord, no click and the standby light on the on/off button comes on blue as soon as it is plugged in and does not turn off when button is push. I then pulled the main board off to look at it better and the initial inspection (front and back) I cannot see anything bad. Before I put the board back...10-24-2024, 11:12 AM -
Hi everyone, over the past few months i have taken a deep dive into motherboard diagnostics and I love the challenge. Currently im trying to learn all about the signals that travel around the motherboard, such as frequencies, enable signals High and Low logic states etc. And i have been learning to read and using the Schematics for this board that i requested here on Badcaps forum, from a few months ago, this is such a great place for these.
I’ve been working on a GA-970A-DS3 (rev. 1.0) that does not post. This motherboard has been my main learning board. I would like share...11-23-2023, 11:02 PM -
by ArMaaN376Hello,
I am having Samsung PS51E550 Plasma TV. While the TV was working, a crackling sound heard & video went off with audio still ON. After switching it off & ON, the red LED on TV blinks six times & then off.
Opened TV cover & observed foll
a) Green LED on the small PCB blinks at @5-6sec ON & off for 3-4 secs. Red LED on logic board ON
b)Vs & Va on power supply board raises momentarily to 209v & 58v resp & then drops.
c) Cold test on Y-main board shows all 3 pins of FGPF4536 IGBT short to Grnd.

by KYBOSHPicked up a bahemoth plasma TV not too long ago and just now getting around to looking at it.
No picture but you hear the TV static (white noise) playing loud and clear.
The back was already taken off (and no screws were provided) as the previous owner had already taken a look.
But it seems they didn't get too far and just left it.
When I first took a look I was amazed at how pristine the inside looked.
Its as if the TV had been in a time capsule.
Caps looked like they were just pulled off the self.

by chazhThis is my first posting, so forgive me everyone in advance if I made mistake(s) in my posting.
I know there have been much about this plama tv already and I have read through most what I could find. However; I still have not come across any service lit/schematics for this tv. I even looked for the 50PS11 which would be basically relevant other than display size. Anyone know to find the documentation would greatly be appreciated.
The set that I have has issues with lower third of screen being dimmer than the above portion. From my past experiences with tube, solid state,... - Loading...
