Viewsonic fixed but I do not understand

I have got a viewsonic n2751w that had no picture.

I found out that the inverter board had a blow little tiny fuse on it a 0.75A 76V.

I also traced out the source of the problem.

One 5V feed that was comming of the controller board was shorted on the inverter board direct to the ground.

I have located a resistance marked with a 0 on it. I think 0 means 0 ohm . They are used to jump but why do they jump a 5v line to the ground ? Does it make any sens at all ?

look at the picture i have pointed out the problem.

because since i have jump the fuse for the test with a very very small copper wire that blow under 1A and also removed the Resistance that was connecting the 5V to the ground . the TV works fine.

I would like to understand how and why ... Pleae

    thank you

I am not sure and I hope someone else can help you.

But I can say that whatever 0 ohm resistor was there that you removed, was obviously meant to be there (otherwise the TV would never work at all!) - I don't think it will be the cause of your fuse blowing, there will be some other problem.

Replacing a fuse with some wire is not a good idea unless you know it will blow at the same current as the original fuse.

I would not run the TV for any length of time in this state, you may be overheating something etc. You will need to find and fix the original fault.

Have you looked for a schematic? Perhaps that will make it make sense..

I don't think you will be able to find schematics. Anyway... if it works, leave it alone.

            A working TV? How boring!
