What brand and series of cap did you use as a replacement? It appears the main power supply is in the upper right corner. I would replace the three 220uF, 16V caps with Panasonic EEU-FC1C221 or equivalent low ESR caps.

Thank you bill for answer my question I've chanced it for a radio shack cap 47uf 16v I think that's the problem, sometimes when I unplug the ribbon cable, that goes from the board to the screen that's make it work again but then the problem is back I,m going to chance the other caps with the Panasonic caps. bill if you are interesting for a frame just let me know and give me your address and I'll send you one They are like new. I would like to give you one working but I don't have any more thank bill.Comment

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

by DobrowolHi. I have a problem with Asus ROG GA402RK. The keyboard suddenly stopped working along with the kb backlight. I replaced the keyboard and the ITE KBC chip and the problem is still the same. I don't see any passive elements that look damaged. Does anyone have an idea?04-28-2025, 04:30 PM

by fanaticgameshello I have a backlight problem on this TV, if I unplug the cn201 cable the backlight works perfectly and the voltages are 13v if I connect the cn201 cable the backlight goes off and the voltage drops to 12v, I assume it's a motherboard problem, the question is has anyone had a similar problem? I want to understand if the motherboard is repairable or it's not worth wasting time...
