    Samsung Plazma Blues Model PN59D550C1F

I Am Looking For Some Direction, Or Suggestions On Where I Should Focus My Attention. I Have A 59 Inch Samsung Plazma Tv. The Tv Was Working Decently, Maybe Once In A Blue Moon, I Had To Unplug And Plug It Back In, As The Tv Would Just Shut Down And The Standby LED Light Would Come On And Stay On. If You Tried To Turn The Set Back On, The LED Standby Light Would Blink Rapidly Until You Released The Remote Button. Too Fast For Flash Codes. Once Plugged Back In, The Set Would Work Fine, Sometimes For Months. I Took The Back Off Of It, As The Was Some Distorted Pixels On The Right Side About 1/2 Way Up, Only Visible Under Certain Colors. I Noticed The 13 Pin Harness The Joins The Y-Sustain Board To The X-Sustain Board, On The Y-Board Connection, The Center 4-5 Wire Insulation Was Burned Off. I Replaced The Cable And Both Boards, The Tv Now Works For Maybe An Hour Or 2 And Just Shuts Off. Standby Light Comes On And Will Blink Rapidly If You Touch Any Button On The Remote. Too Fast For Flash Codes. Unplug The Set And Will Turn Back On For A Bit And Repeats. I Removed The Back And Decided To Use My Thermal Imager. The 13 Pin Cable I Replaced, The Same Wires That Burnt Are Averaging 150 Degrees F At The Y Board And Across To The X Board. The Power Board Has Been Changed, The X & Y Boards, Have Been Replaced, Supposedly NOS Boards, As Well As Buffer Boards, On Both Sides. Any Help Would Be Greatly Appreciated.

    Thanks In Advance, Duane.

Sorry For So Many Posts, I Am New At This.

Here Are The Part Numbers For The 3 Main Boards.

The Main Power Board Is A BN44-00445A

      The Y-Main Board Is A LJ41-09453A

      The X Main Board Is A LJ41-09452A

I Have Some Experience Checking And Replacing Some Components, All The Capacitors Appear To Be In Good Working Condition, Resistors And Diodes On The Main Power Board Check Out Good.

      Thanks In Advance, Duane.

Why Do You Write Like This?

        No photos...

Anyway, check the pins on the boards to see if they are clean, the connector has to be properly seated and not bent at an angle, maybe take out individually each wire and tighten down the clamps inside it to increase the contact pressure.

Why is the tv shutting down, I do not know, but the bliking of the led when the remote is pressed is normal and does not have anything to do with a code.

sorry about the writing, force of habit. not sure why the tv shuts down, will only turn back on, if you do a hard restart ( unplug for a few minutes and plug it back in ). all the connections are clean and tight. I understand that the LED is supposed to blink when you press the remote, this blinking is extremely rapid not as normal. I have read that the main cause is a bad Y-sus board or main power board. I have replaced the boards and the same thing happens. How do you post pictures. I have clicked on insert image, cannot figure out how to do the address, not computer savvy yet.

          Thanks in advance, Duane.

Start by replacing these 10uf 50v caps. They are on the y-main board.

I replaced the 3 caps, and nothing has changed, the TV works great for a while, then randomly just shuts down suddenly. it will not restart until you unplug the set and plug it back in. It has gone for a week with no issues, to shutting down after a few hours. It is not consistent. I do not know if a short video can be uploaded, I will try to video the TV working and after it shuts down.

                      Duane.
