Thanks. That's the one. The first video I watched didn't do anything with those screws. Glad I didn't slam it too hard.

I took the power board out and looked at the back to see if anything looked fried. I didn't realize there was so many components on the back, and small. Couldn't see anything obvious. Tomorrow I will take some measurements.

Thanks for the help everyone. Maybe by the time I am done I will have spent enough in parts to have just bought a new tv

While your back there look the solder joints over closely, reflow any that look suspicious, being careful not to bridge anything, examples of bad joints there: https://www.google.com/search?client...h=599&dpr=1.09

Simple test, with tv unplugged check every diode on top of the board, meter in diode mode.

I think I will just focus on the outputs again to make sure I didn’t measure something incorrectly before. My eyes and soldering skills aren’t good enough to replace components. I just don’t want to foolishly replace a board that doesn’t need to be although I understand in this situation it may happen anyway.

Well even if you don't replace on component level, the simple testing is to see if you find a bad component, then you can feel better about which board you need to replace, if it is a bad board.

Measurements once again for CNM803 show a good ground for pins 10, 11, and 12. Measurements on the other pins fluctuate so fast I can't get an accurate reading. Best I can tell is that the best pins top out at 6.x volts and then drop back down. I tried to see if the fluctuations varied with the backlighting flashing at 1 second intervals but could not definitively say. None of the voltages were really stable enough to be sure what the actual reading is. This is with the output cable from the power supply to the main board disconnected. Using a mounting screw for the ground which seemed to work fine for continuity so I would hope it was sufficient for power.

Think I'm going to throw the power board at it now since I've had my fun trying to dig in deeper. Figured I would learn more by continuing to troubleshoot but I think the main thing I've learned is I forgot more than I ever knew.

There's a reason I have stayed away from free tv's. We have just become attached to this thing sitting in the living room so I'll drop a little money on it.

I think the problem is the powerboard too.

Upgrading a Samsung ue55nu7096u with logic board from an ue55ru7105k -- good idea?
                      by ohren
I hope this is the right forum to post in despite not technically being a repair, but still a question of swapping boards.

I thought I'd explore the possibility to upgrade an existing working Samsung ue55nu7096u with the logic board (and power board if needed) of a newer model (ue55ru7105k) of the same size and appearance (and resolution). The reason being I'd like the extra inputs of that board including component in, an extra HDMI port and bluetooth. Its panel is broken so I have no use for the board otherwise.

The models launched in 2018 and 2019 respectively....

Samsung BN44-00808D power supply board troubleshooting
                      by Per Eriksson
                      Hi,
I was given a samsung 65" lcd tv which is "dead" after a lightning strike.

Power supply board is a BN44-00808D , also have the marking L65S6N_FSM
                      Main board is a BN94-10803V

                      I've made some simple test.

With main board connected nothing happens when plugged in, no blinking lights or sounds.
Also kept it plugged in for a while and checked on the boards with a thermal camera, no hot spots detected.

With the main board disconnected the backlights turn on and stay on.

                      Checked the voltages...

                      Samsung Power Supply Board BN44-00874F
                      by Nicktronic
                      Hey everyone,

This power supply board is hard to find but there are repair kits available. This board had a blown fuse, FP801S, blown PFC MOSFET, QP802CS and ceramic cap, CP809. I replaced them with parts I already had and tested the rest of the parts that would've come in the repair kit and they were fine. I powered the board up on the bench expecting, in typical Samsung power supply board fashion, to see all my output voltages but, nothing. 0 volts on CNL801, CNM801 and CNT801. The only thing I have is 170vdc on the filter caps. No standby voltage either.

                      Anybody...

Samsung UN65KU6290F PS board blows fuses
                      by valvashon
Samsung UN65KU6290F (May 2017); received from local Buy Nothing group. Was listed as "just went dead" and they wanted it gone. I brought it home, didn't notice anything visually wrong with the power supply board, looked up the cost of a new one and that's about as far as it went. Family was tired of tripping on the foot of the set so I decided to dig in and repair or toss.

Can't believe that I didn't check it earlier but I found the main 8 amp fuse blown. Jumped across it with a 10 amp blade style fuse and you can see that it literally exploded inside the second I plugged...
