No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.
Where is the short?
Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.
Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but... -
by iglitareHi,
i want to repair a Sony KD-75XF9005 TV that initially only showed a grey picture.
Backlight seems to work, Sound (Setup menu after reset) works.
If i dissconnect the left FFC cable from TCON to panel i have half a screen on the right. If left cable is connected always only the grey screen.
Interchanged the cables, its always only the right side that is working. Always grey if left side is connected.
With my small knowledge i would think at least the cables are good.
Can this happen because of a bad tcon board?
Or is it always a bad/shorted... -
by howardc64All left and right refers to looking from rear of TV (or looking from front with TV upside down)
- TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
- Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

by JayFixesITHi,
I am in the process of replacing the backlight boards on the LG 65UH9500 TV. It requires the separation of the front glass/panel to get to the boards. The panel is help on to the frame with some kind of strips that I cannot reuse to adhere the screen to the frame. Anyone have any experience/Ideas on what I can use to securely hold the 65" Panel to the frame. I would hate for the panel to fall face forward. Thank you in advance.... -
by r3vsEngIT65x900h with the panel from a 65x930d.
900H: model yr 2020, Samsung panel
930D: model yr 2016, Innolux panel
spec wise the panels are the same. the drivers and tcons are obviously different but what made me want to give this a try is that the wiring diagrams for the data signals going into the tcon for each tv were nearly identical. there are only a couple pins that i am unsure about and that is what brings me here.
the 930d has the DPS board where the 900h has none, however, if you follow the pins to the BM1 it would appear that the signals...07-11-2023, 11:11 AM - Loading...
