x900h uses a Samsung panel
x930d uses an Innolux/Samsung panel
the tcon from each panels use the same one-by-v cables with nearly identical pinouts with the difference being that the x930d has pins for 3D. i dont see this as an issue because on the x900h those pins are NC.
the problem i am running into is somewhere on the 51-pin VB1 cable there is a pin(s) that is causing the power board to immediately turn off. the relay will go "click-click" on then off. then the status LED will blink red/white continuously.
if I disconnect only the 51 pin connector, the power board will stay on (i do not get a back light though)
it behaves like a short but the power and ground pins are all the same. i would think even if it was a signal incompatability the tv would stay powered on but i dont know enough about how tcon's work to know for sure.
can someone with more knowledge help me troubleshoot? thank you.
