I got in this set that keeps restarting on switch on. I never get an image, i only see back lights on and off and the startup sound of Samsung and then it starts up all over doing the same thing.
The set has one big flat ribbon going to the scalar board from the main board. I figured that the set is shutting down because of error feedback signals feeding back to the main board.
I blanked off a certain section on the ribbon and got the TV to start up but it is a very milky white picture. I experimented blanking off different sections but to no avail.
I think that the error feedback issue is probably this white milky picture. It's almost like a solarized image. On Samsung it is difficult to find the VGL, VGH, Vcom etc but i did locate some.
VGH = 25.8V
VGL = -6.5V
there was also a 17V not sure if that is the AVDD and also half of that...
HAVDD = 8.5V
I could not find the gamma voltages if you know what i mean. These are those voltages that start off like 0.7V, 1.5V, 2.2V and increase until 25V. Like a linear reference of sorts.
I have tested for shorted caps on the scalar boards but found nothing.
I have been told by a Samsung agent that the 7000 series are prone to panel failure.
Is there any advice that someone can offer me on this issue. I am at wits end.... Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
