    telefunken te32883n17

Hi I have a telefunken te32883 TV that goes into standby by itself, with irregular times, then after several standbys the power supply completely shuts down.
Goes to standby on all sources.
    power board vestel 17pw25-4 (23012668),
    vestel 17mb62-2-6 (110112) motherboard.
I think it's a bios or firmware issue.
it is currently installed as software v.0.0.9a and application version v.0.2.9a
I look forward to info and eventually firmware. thanks bye

try heating the electrolytic capacitors with a hairdryer for a couple few minutes next time it shuts down, then see if it comes on for a bit, try it while it's still hot don't wait for it to cool down, maybe start with the ones closest to the connector there, what is it PL805, and move on to heat the rest of the electrolytics.

hello thanks for the nomoresonys answer, I did some tests with the hairdryer and I was unsuccessful. then checked the electrolytic capacitors and replaced some that didn't convince me and checked the power supplies with an oscilloscope. +24v (25v) , 12v(12.7) have a small ripple. i 5v ( 5.17v), 3.3v ok.
with scart socket ok, but as soon as I put a source on hdm1 or hdm2 the tv goes into standby. the command is not given by 17mb62 (stby_on/off) it goes down after switching off. 5.17v present on the power board.
I do not understand the issue.

Does the tv only act up while trying to use hdmi sources?

I might not be understanding, are you saying that the standby voltage is not steady on the powerboard?

for now the TV goes into stand-by as soon as I select hdmi with source, both hot and cold. Without source it won't turn off.

Hit them memory chips with a hairdryer for a couple few minutes then try it see if it works for a bit, if no joy, hit the hdmi chip with the hairdryer and see if it makes any difference, maybe also check any of the little mlc caps around them for shorts.

found the problem, U1 lm1117 (17mb62-2-6) disconnected the 3.3v and turned off the 17pw25-4.
tested many times, always worked well, then crashed. thanks nomoresonys for the info and to all the staff. hello zac

                          Hi everyone,

Searching the forum revealed loads of issues with this type of power supply board however I could not find a solution to my issue from them. Excuse the "another Vestel" thread

The full story was: my Telefunken TV did not have a standby red light after of series of power outages in a couple of minutes. Sadly in my rural city the only technician that fixes TV's is away these days as I cannot reach him by phone. I want to try to have a go at it (with the internet's help).

Reading into this symptom the general consensus was that...

                          hello there,
I am trying to fix a Walker 40 TV - it has Vestel 17IPS71 3R3 as PSU and 17MB82S for logic.

                          How I got here...
The TV had shorted USB connector, which I fixed. TV turned on. Ran for a few hours on HDMI input. Started to see some dark dots/patterns on the screen as seen on the photo.
I restored to factory setting. The TV has rebooted only to a blinking standby LED. It sat there for a number of minutes after which I disconnected it.
Now, after plugging it back in - there is not even a standby LED.

My 17IPS71 provides 12V, no standby...

                          Hello,
I came across this forum because I need some advice about my Telefunken XF43G511 TV. It is originally a Vestel device. For some time now I have had the problem that the TV gets a black screen when the electronics are heated up. The backlight is still there and the sound still works. It's just the screen itself that goes off. When I switch off the TV and it cools down, the TV works again after a while. Could you please give me some advice on what could be causing this problem? I have also attached some photos of the electronics.

                          Kind regards

Hey, I got an Telefunken 4K D50U TV in for repair. Since the problem is t-con flex related, I isolated the problem to one side (right flex of the t-con). I taped the flex a bit, but i couldnt get any further. I attached the pictures of the t-con board in zoom in perspective. I would appreciate help for this TV. Please note that I came from Germany, so it is a bit difficult with the time zones. Greeting Tobi...
