Dell S2415Hb 24 No Power ic burnt

Hi, there got this monitor to repair no power after inspecting the board I noticed ic 301 had a burn mark on top of it think it's an apw7301 buck convertor I am trying to source a replacement but can only find them in china does anyone know of compatible ones I can source locally. Will I need to check anything else on the board before I replace it and what is it for is backlight is it changes4.5V to 24V

    Thanks for any information

You need to read the data sheet correctly for this “apw7301” because it maximum voltage output is only 20 voltage and it is adjustable voltage regulator so unless you know what the voltage regulator is set to I would not recommend that you power the back light circuit

Please make sure what the voltage requirement are before you hook up power to it

I can not find a data sheet for this particular part number “ PW7302B” only a description that is some type of LCD power management

You can figure out the output voltage if you use what is below—>

Pin 5 —> (FB ) Output feedback Input. The APW7301 senses the feedback voltage via FB and regulates the voltage at 0.925V. Connecting FB with a resistor-divider from the converter’s output sets the output voltage from 0.925V to 20V.

Thanks, sam sam sam for your reply but I do apologise I made a spelling mistake it was APW7302B 2A 24V 340kHz Synchronous Buck Converter

The specifications for this part number is the same as the other one

Pin 5 —>Output feedback Input. The APW7302B senses the feedback voltage via FB and regulates the voltage at 0.92V. Connecting FB with a resistor-divider from the converter’s output sets the output voltage from 0.92V to 20V.

It is a little bit misleading that it 24 volt 2 amp buck converter
It really is a adjustable to 20 volts at 2 amps

Go to page 11 of the data sheet that you posted it has

Look at this section of the data sheet

          Recommended Feedback Compensation Value
