Any UPS units capable of measuring the mains waveform?

Does anyone know of any UPS units which can monitor the mains waveform for noise, distortion and harmonics? Such a system is most likely to be found in server and industrial grade units.

    I'm curious about this posibility.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Bad mains power causing TV malfunctions?
    by chopduel
    Hi,
I've been living in the same apartment for about 5 years now, and moved into it with my old Samsung plasma TV (PS51F5500).
Ever since we've moved in, we would sometimes see strange power-cycling behavior. For example:
    • TV would randomly turn off then back on.
    • TV would turn off and the LED light would blink for a while (over a minute sometimes) until eventually it went back to a regular off state and could be turned on
    • Sometimes it would require disconnecting the mains cord from the TV, waiting several minutes, then putting it back in and turning the TV back on. This had limited

    Industrial 24 VDC PS troubleshooting
    by RD_Atlanta
    New to the forum...
The Power Supplies I'm having trouble with is branded under different brands (Rhino PSC-24-090 or Traco TBL 090-124) but I think the actual mfg is Convertec 090PSL182/E out of a factory in China. We have hundreds of these installed, and have operated flawlessly for many years. But suddenly there is no 24 VDC when the AC power is cycled. I was hoping that someone in the forum may have access to a schematic or is so knowledgeable about power supplies, could help me to better understand this power supply. Please refer to the [PSC-24-090 Top View Photo.JPG] and [PSC-24-090.PNG]...

Few units of Lenovo Thinpad t490s had the same `backspace` and `enter` keys issues
    by czacha414
Guys, I need your help. I have an issue with Lenovo T490s laptops – several dozen units in different configurations, and in about half of them, the same problem appeared over time. Specifically, the Enter and Backspace keys don't work unless they are held down for a few seconds or pressed slightly harder than usual. Once they start working, they continue to function until the next reset. However, this is not just a Windows issue – it occurs under other operating systems, in BIOS, and during POST as well.

While searching for information, I found many threads describing the same...

WARNING: Live heatsinks & single pole on/off switches in switching power supplies
    by Per Hansson
This is a warning to inexperienced and experienced techs alike:
The De-facto standard is to have the primary side heatsink live in switching power supplies.
That is the primary side heatsink is referenced to the negative of the bulk filtering capacitor.
Therefore never ever touch the heatsink if the device is plugged in.
And even if it is unplugged let the capacitor discharge first!

Another really serious concern is that the power switch also by De-facto standard is single pole.
This means it only cuts power to the phase or neutral (not both) depending...
