It was once again, one of my friend call me in the phone that his PC was dead. A P4 2.4GHz, 512MB DDR, ASUS P5K* or something. So I came to his place, doing an autopsy, and yes, found that the PSU was the culprit.
I was surprised to find a GSC cap, and jackons too, inside the PSU. To my knowledge, GSC and Jackon were brand of (bad) caps that was used in motherboard/graphic cards, not PSU!
And as if that's not enough, i saw a panasonic FF and a nichicon VR cap. A $10-15 PSU with japanesse caps?
I believe they were the original caps came with the PSU. The warranty label was intact before i open the PSU, and the back of PCB didn't look like someone has recapped/resoldered it before me.
