    Vacon Frequency Converter - repair

    Hello everyone!

I have a faulty 440V AC frequency converter used onboard ship for supplying of 440V 3phase electric motor which is used to open and close covers of cargo holds.

Its made of two parts, power module and some kind of controller. Few days ago it suddenly stopped working by means of no power on its outlet while controller kept working, showing 0 amps on output.

I've dismantled it and found a suspicious burning spots around one component which I think is some kind of voltage regulator but I have no idea how to specify what type it is. I hope someone more experianced can help me here.

I hope attached photos will be of some help. Thank you!

What is this PSW1 part on a circuit board? Trying to fix a Canopus ADVC-300 DV/VHS Converter
    by gizmo1990
I'm trying to fix this Canopus converter so that I can convert lots of old VHS cassettes. The problem is that it turns on for a split (and I mean split!) second, the fan jerks and then.. nothing. I've checked the power brick works. I've opened up the converter itself and been testing for shorts.

The image attached shows the on/off switch (which I've checked works) to the left of the yellow socket. Below the yellow socket is a green block marked 26 with a strange symbol at the front. Putting my probes either end of this block, on the silver parts, gives an open short...

    MT3608 Step-Up Converter IC Datasheet
    by Document Archive
The MT3608 is a constant frequency, 6-pin SOT23 current mode step-up converter intended for small, low power applications. The MT3608 switches at 1.2MHz and allows the use of tiny, low cost capacitors and inductors 2mm or less in height.

Internal soft-start results in small inrush current and extends battery life.

The MT3608 features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads. The MT3608 includes under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage in the event of an output overload. The MT3608 is available...

Trying to control Philips backlight manually with PWM — brightness increases with frequency...?
    by ohren
I raised the question of whether PWM on the power board "dim" pin would be a reasonable assumption for controlling the backlight of a Philips TV (55put6101/12): https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...d-tv-backlight. I didn't receive any insights there so I went ahead and tried it.

    The setup is basically:

    Rpi3 hardware PWM → 220 Ohm → NPN transistor → dim pin

Transistor is switching the 3.5 V supply on the power board....

MPS NB670 NB670GQ Switch Mode Converter for Laptop Computers Datasheet
    by Document Archive
The NB670 NB670GQ is a fully integrated high frequency synchronous rectified step-down switch mode converter with 3.3V fixed output voltage. It offers very compact solution to achieve 6A continuous output current and 9A peak output current over a wide input supply range with excellent load and line regulation. The NB670 operates at high efficiency over a wide output current load range. Constant-On-Time (COT) control mode provides fast transient response and eases loop stabilization.

Under voltage lockout is internally set as 4.65V. An open drain power good signal indicates the output...

i look for equivalent dc to dc converter
    by wolf1976
    hi
in an inverter of aircondition i have dc to dc converter mes1515mh
i have attachment the pdf file
can i take a dual converter with two dc outputs instead this ? because i cannot found the same or is not possible ?
the problem is instead 15 volt dc output i have only 6,45 volt
    thanks on advancxe...
