hi there need some help to trace parts on vs550 corsair cpu

my friend gave me this psu (corsair VS550) for free , since the technician quoted him around 45usd he would rather buy a brand new unit, which I decided to take from him and attempt to repair it , then charge him whatever I spent on replacement parts otherwise I keep it but when I open it there are 2 missing parts , one power ic chip (7pins) and one zener diode located zd1 can anyone tell me what those parts are?
sorry for my poor English from Malaysia here.
truly appreciate if someone could help thanks

The stand-by controller would be the TNY177PN or similar, though for the diode try refering to the reference circuit.

I had 177 in the VS450. There may be something else in VS550 though unlikely. According to datasheet all the versions are interchangeable, basically just the maximum power differs. If its rated 2-2.5 A on the SB rail, than the 177 is adequate. Using 178 may be better as it should have lower losses and stay cooler as the FET has lower Rds(On).

In all cases check all the surrounding SMD components and when testing, use the lightbulb-in-series procedure to save yourself from explosions.

Thanks for the great tip I will do it, as for the zener diode all of them are 4148 zener should I just use that? Not too sure what u meant by referring to the reference circuit

Is it possible bridging tiny broken trace
            by chth96
When I assembled dreamcast I mistakenly fastened long bolt and It resulted in
            cutting tiny trace.
This tiny trace(Total width of white coating is 5.5mm) is between R337,R343 and IC101 and it is covered with white coating in the below screenshot.

Firstly I tried to bridging tiny broken trace with my own eyes...But it is totally impossible..So a week ago, I ordered G1200 Digital Microscope and I magnified this tiny broken trace with it.

But It seems that It is really very tiny trace So I plan to order 0.1mm coper wire from aliexpress in order to bridging...

Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01 Schematic and Parts List
            by Mark D
The TV is a Samsung UN65JU67ODFXZA Version TD01. I replaced the power source board and the TV is now working, but I decided to try and troubleshoot the old board to fix at the component level. Trying to get a schematic and a parts list has proven to be an issue. Trying on my own, I can't tell you how many times my Norton security has flagged sites as "malicious". I ordered a service manual from ServiceManuals.net, paid $16.99 and got 66 pages of everything BUT schematics and component parts list! Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Some of the surface mounted component parts...

Random Shutdowns/Startup Failure with Corsair SFX 450
            by h0m3w0rk
            Hello everyone,

I'm encountering a frustrating issue with my Corsair SFX 450 power supply. After an undefined period of operation, my PC will either suddenly restart or, in some cases, it won't start at all until I disconnect the power cable and reconnect it. This erratic behavior occurs intermittently, making it difficult to pinpoint the exact conditions under which it happens.

For context, I have tested the PSU using an electronic load at 150W, and under those controlled conditions, it functions flawlessly. This leads me to...

            SVOD4 PCB pictures + parts
            by 2elw
Hey, I find it very absurd that the SVOD4 costs so much and has zero documentation. I had no other choice than to buy it to unlock ECs, if there was any documentation or firmware avalible I could've made it or something simmilar. Anyways here are some of the most important parts:

STM32H723VGT6 MCU - It's a microcontroller by STMicroelectronics and its the whole brain of the SVOD4. It has flash memory for the firmware which can be updated by the SVOD4 program. Its also powered by the AMS117 which converts 5v into 3.3V. 7€ on AliExpress.

            GW1N-UV9UG169C6/I5 FPGA - Its a...

What parts can be salvaged from a plasma with a damaged display panel?
            by SurrealMustard
I recently found myself the proud owner of a later-model Samsung plasma (the PN59D7000 for those keeping score at home) whose panel was, unfortunately, damaged in transport. I'm now preparing to part it out, but am curious as to whether or not any damage would have come to any of the components by attempting to power it up with the panel being broken. I read in one Avsforum thread (for whatever that's worth 😂) that the "scan driver boards" (by which I assume he means buffer boards) could be impacted by doing so. Is that actually the case? If so, since I don't intend on selling bad...
